The Kaduna AGILE Project today the 19th of December 2023 convened a momentous Town Hall Meeting at Barewa College Zaria, drawing together a distinguished assembly of Traditional and Religious Leaders. The focal point of this gathering was an extensive presentation delivered by the Project Coordinator, delving into AGILE’s impactful initiatives and strides within Kaduna State over a span of 22 months.
This prestigious event was graced by the esteemed presence of His Royal Highness Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, alongside other revered dignitaries including the Emir of Lere and the Emir of Kudaru. Complementing this gathering were Religious Leaders, Community Leaders, representatives from NGOs, and an array of pivotal stakeholders.
Questions were raised during the session particularly by revered Religious Leaders, centering on the implementation of Life Skills among other crucial aspects. The Coordinator, in response, urged the Religious clerics to scrutinize the Life Skills manual shared with them and offer valuable recommendations. AGILE’s adaptability and openness to suggestions were emphasized, highlighting the project’s commitment to embracing diverse perspectives for an effective implementation.
Further enriching the discourse, the Director of the Center for Girls Education shared compelling success narratives regarding the establishment and impact of safe spaces under the Center’s purview.
The Town Hall Meeting served as a testament to the collaborative spirit driving the Kaduna AGILE Project, fostering engagement, and constructive dialogue among key stakeholders. As AGILE continues its journey, it remains steadfast in its pursuit of enhancing community development through inclusive and dynamic approaches.
