The Kaduna AGILE Project has received the impact evaluation field coordinator to Kaduna State on a spot-check visit to check the progress of the implementation of life skills and digital skills training across impact evaluation schools.
The World Bank is conducting a rigorous impact evaluation to understand what works and what doesn’t work to improve the social and economic empowerment of adolescent girls in Senior Secondary Schools and keep them in school in Nigeria. This study is being conducted across Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina States with a focus on Safe Space-Based Life Skills Training and Digital Literacy Training.
The aim of the study is to answer the following questions given the specific constraints faced by girls in Nigeria:
What is the impact of delivering school-based life-skills training using a safe-space approach on adolescent girls’ education, health and well-being, empowerment-behavioral and economic outcomes?
What is the impact of combining safe spaces-based life skills training and digital literacy interventions on adolescent girls’ education including digital literacy outcomes, health and well-being and empowerment?
The field coordinator visited schools implementing the intervention and interacted with students, mentors and instructors.
