The second batch of beneficiaries identified and registered from 526 secondary schools in Kaduna State has begun receiving Conditional Cash Transfer payments as part of the Kaduna AGILE Project.

For the second cohort, a total of 28,562 students, identified across 16 LGAs within the State, will receive grants of N10,000 and N15,000.
The aim of the CCT grant is to support families with economic stimulus that will guarantee that girls are allowed to enroll, transit, and complete secondary education. After this disbursement, the total number of scholarship recipients stands at 35,575.
The AGILE Project’s efforts to combat climate change include providing households with eco-friendly cook stoves that not only protect the environment but also give them access to alternative energy sources.
The distribution of stoves to the caregivers of students was also flagged off by the acting Governor. Briquettes generated from various waste items are used to power the Stove.
